November 2: Lauren made baba ganoush, tabouli, and turkish delight for Vanguard - wow; lots of work! She also drew these cool cartoons for some math project centering around the #5.
November 5: Will had a literature review at school where he portrayed a character in a book he liked and gave an oral overview of the story. This was an extremely big step outside of Will's comfort zone and we are so proud that he did this. Doing things that scare you are huge successes!!!
November 6-8: Bradley had a hockey tournament in Park City. We stayed up there in the condo for the weekend and had a great time. These pics from a tourney game are actually at the Maverick Center - it was the only game not played in PC, but it's easier to take pics in that rink. The team only won one game, but we still had fun.
While we were at the condo we played a new (to our family) game called "Guesstures." The party type, noncompetitive games are the kind our family enjoys best. Take a look at the last picture of Matt... any guesses on what his word was?
November 13: Jackie, Lauren, Me and Mom went to Disney on Ice. It was such a fun night. We had fabulous seats at the top of the lower bowl. The first half of the show was cute, however the second half (centered around "Tangled" and including aerial/ribbon acrobatic skating) was incredible and made it all worthwhile!!
November 14: Lauren competed in her second debate tournament. She tried sparring this time, and though she didn't place in the tournament, it was good to experience a different event and I thought she was outstanding!
November 20: Owen tested for his yellow belt and received it! Awesome job O-dog!!
November 24-29: We went to Bradley's annual hockey tournament in Vegas over Thanksgiving. I didn't take any pictures of hockey (What?!?! Sorry B!) Amy, Mike & the girls came to one of Bradley's games to support him (why didn't we get pictures of that either?!?) However, we did have some other memorable experiences that we DID get pictures to document!! We went to the Mac King comedy show (great family show) and Will was called up on stage to help with a quite a few tricks!!! I wasn't supposed to take any pictures, but I snuck a few. He was awesome!!
Afterwards, we went to a restaurant recommended to us called "Holsteins" and had some delish milkshakes, um, I mean dinner.
We went straight from dinner over to the Luxor to see the Blue Man group. Again, another great show for families. The toilet paper party at the end was a highlight.
When Will was called up on stage at the magic show, he was given a magic set as a gift. He and Lauren practiced and performed some fun tricks for us throughout the weekend.
Oh my heck I don't know how you even remember half of the things that happened in November! :D:D:D
ReplyDeleteI love all the fun pictures! I find myself coming home from something and realizing I hadn't taken any pictures as well, even when I make it a point to tell myself to do it! :P No bueno getting old and losing your thread!
I love all the fun outings and memories you make together as a family and Lauren!...way to be a Middle Eastern CHEF! ;-), Good job to Will for conquering a fear! and Yay to O-man for the yellow belt!
